Summary Content is a comparison of relationship terms comparing the Chepara with a number of other groups. Letter includes a table in which English words for a variety of family relationships are shown in the languages of the Kunandaburi (Coopers Creek), Kurnai (Gippsland), Yakonda (Upper Murray River), Chepara (Queensland). Also included in the letter are J.W. Gibson's amendments. The original letter was sent by Howitt to Gibson on June 19 1880 from Sale, Victoria and then sent back to him with notes and corrections added by Gibson on July 18 1880.
Physical Description Letter including a table. Two sheets, three pages. Letter is actually a printed (pro forma) questionnaire of A.W. Howitt's with handwritten letter on first page. Annotations and corrections in another hand attributed to J. Gibson. Condition: good
