Summary
A partially completed map indicating the location of some tribes in a northern section of New South Wales. Includes a key/legend with group names numbered 1 to 11. Although authorship is uncertain it is presumed to have been created by A.W. Howitt and circulated to unidentified informant/s seeking further information and confirmation of group names and boundaries. The final version of this map was published in Howitt's book, Native Tribes of South East Australia, 1904, p.50 in the original edition and p.822-823 in recent editions. As a result Howitt has been attributed as the author and a date written given as before 1904.
