Map depicting rivers and 14 tribal boundaries drawn in pencil; legend/key below map with14 numbered group names; and an additional note at foot of the page with A.W. Howitt's initials. The map appears to have been drawn by Howitt who sent it to R. Christison for comment or correction. Christison appears to have annotated it returned the map, and in a covering letter [see XM 145] refers to the 'dot-tracings I have made on your map showing the boundary lines of various tribes in this district, and the names of them. The only one I am doubtful of is No 9'.

Map, hand-drawn in ink, undated. One foolscap sheet. Annotations in ink. Includes a legend/key with the names of fourteen groups, and notes. Condition: large pin-hole top left; tear and creases on right edge; slightly yellowing.
