Summary
A.W. Howitt quotes from Gason, 'The Dieri Tribe of Australian Aborigines 1874', in which Gason says Dieri legends incorporate a 'good spirit' - the Mura-mura, who for example made some black lizards. However Howitt believes that the Mura-mura are not a spirit but a supernatural being similar to those in the legends of other cultural groups.
