"Response to A.W. Howitt's questionnaire. Rev. Bulmer providing information from Jenny Cooper regarding language, marriage and social organisation. Content records the consequences of elopement, and that a ""wrong marriage"" may result in the man being killed. In the division of the group, men are eaglehawks and women are crows. Mentions that Omeo group call themselves Ya-it-mathung and seeking the meaning of it also from Jenny Cooper. Much of the correspondence between Bulmer and Howitt occurred between 1875 and 1908."
