Old Morgan

Widow
A widow lived by herself for some
months before she went to her husbands
brother, but before [the - crossed out] he took her she
was common property for a day to all the men
at the camp.

[?Bret-?]
Old Morgan carried his dead hands
- one was that of a woman

Breach of Food rules
One lad about twenty who whiskers [sic]
were coming but quite white in color
explained this as being the result
of having eaten some black duck
before he had any right to do so.

Mr McAlpine's opinion is that the
old blackfellows were far better
in all reports than the present
lot. Here none trust worthy and
respectable. He noticed a change
as soon as the young men began to
live with the whites and the power
of the old men over them became
lessened.
