Nov. 6, 1906

A. W. Howitt, Esq.,

Dear Sir,-
Being very much in-
terested in your account of Billi-
Billeri
[underlined] and the stone quarry at
Mount William, Lancefield. I
venture to respectfully ask if you
could give me a little additional
information to that contained in
"The Native Tribes of South-east
Australia"

The points on which I would
like further information are:-
(1) About what year did Billi
Billeri
leave the quarry?
(2) What would be the number
of natives who lived with Billi-
Billeri
at the quarry (say about
the year 1835)?
(3) Is there any other greenstone
diorite quarry in Victoria or [New - crossed out]
Australia from which the natives
obtained stone for tomahawks, etc.?
