sometime ago who lives near
Camperdown and he telling
me that his daughter was with his
assistance writing a book on the
blacks of that district, I conversed
with him about kinships. To
illustrate what I said I drew a
diagram of the Paternal relations
on the back of a letter. The other day
he wrote to me asking me to send
him a number [of - crossed out] more of diagram
as he was doing something at kinships
in his book! I sent him a circular
saying that if he would fill it in I
would look it over and see what
could he said of his tribe. Since
then profound silence! Such
is life! +c

We learned with very great regret
that you had suffered some great
domestic trouble - indeed whatever it
may have been be assured that we have
greatly sympathised with you.
Believe me
Yours very sincerely
A W Howitt
