Protection, [to Ellery a- crossed out]
to ask whether he will publish
for us, the share he will take and
the probable cost of publishing at
once. To Ellery asking whether the
R. S. will join and contribute
its quota of the needful or only
its name. To our friend
Morgan concurring in your
remarks and asking time to
withdraw my manuscript
from Prof Barries and send me
at once with the map. I rather
dread rewriting my monograph
and recompiling my map
- I was so pressed for time as I
always am that I did not
keep a copy. I felt very sorry
to withdraw from Morgan's
own press in America and
said what I felt and that I
trusted our action would
be approved by him and that
he would not feel in the least bit
