My Dear Dr Frazer
I am compelled to
avail myself of the Services of a scriber
& I cannot even dictate a long letter
without great fatigue; but I must
send you a few lines to thank you
most sincerely for your generous &
indefatigable exertions on my behalf.
Spencer has sent me copies of
the two petitions, which you
forwarded to him. It is indeeed
well for me that you determined
to draw up a separate document,
& the numerous & influential signatures
attached to it are witness to the
universal efforts which you put forth
