According to Howitt, 'The Krau-un is one of those women who stand in the relation of " sister" to the Tutnurring [the novice in aninitiation ceremony]. For instance, she is his " tribal," if not " own," mother's brother's daughter. In other words, she is the " tribal," if not " own" sister to the Bullawang' (1885: 304).
