If the weather be fine on Sat I will go
out for quail with Henry Peck. My Doctor is
a sensible man and he tells me such excursions,
if prudently taken, do more for me than all his
medicine.

As for the Pass, I applied for it only from Essendon
to Melbourne, specially for the Library work, + I said
plainly that I thought I shd not be able to go up country
this month. But they gave me the General Pass.
