Request to have tribal boundaries marked on a map which A.W. Howitt had obtained from Mr Craig of Cardwell. Howitt is seeking information on class names and lines of descent, and boundaries of cultural groups. Geographical area is not identified. Refers to class names - Wa-ga-maia, Kia-maia, War-ung-u, Bi-ai and Naua-ji. Howitt makes reference to a ball game played in Victoria 'where one class played against the other'. The map referred to in the notes is not attached/identified.
