As to the distribution of
the reprints I will willingly
undertake it and will try to
carry out your wishes, using Mr
A. Rogers
of the University Library
to do the clerical work. As I
wrote in my last letter, 500 [copies - crossed out] reprints
will not suffice to provide all
members of Anthropological societies
at home + abroad with copies, but I think that
they will be enough for your
purpose. Of course copes will
not be sent to members of the
Anthropological Institute, as they
will read the paper in the
Journal. I will do my
best to see that the principal
anthropologists and anthropological
journals receive copies, and
lists of those to whom they
have been forwarded will
be sent to you. I have
now received fifteen pounds
(£15) from you to cover the
