which raised a quarrel when
Edward was speared in the
calf of the leg with a glass
spear. Edward at once
ran off and brought up
his Kurnai. When they
murdered the four men
mentioned. The Omeo men
at once started for Bruthen.
All the up Country Blacks
were very much incensed
at the treatment of the
Omeo men. Bruthen
Mangie sent a spear
shield Bamerook up
to Omeo. This was a sign
that a murder had been
