To the Revd Lorimer Fison

Dear Sir
I duely received your letter of May 10th
with the pamphlet for which many thanks,
I have always had the relationships in view
and have with the assistance of a gentleman
called Gilson who looks after the blacks here
filled one up as well as we can, but we are
always getting fresh information, + I shall
send you some more complete as soon as I
can.
We find that the blacks are here divided much
for the same way as on the Darling into divisions
for the purposes of marriage, but we cannot
as yet be quite sure that we have the plan
or can understand it perfectly + so leave it
