Edward Palmer

Edward Palmer was an Australian pastoralist, public servant and conservative Queensland politician. Born at Wollongong in 1842, from the 1860s he leased country in northern Queensland : Canobie Station and Gamboola station. Palmer described attacks from local Aboriginal people defending the colonising of their country, especially around Gamboola station. This included being 'tomahawked'.
