Summary Part of the manuscript for A.W. Howitt's Native Tribes of South East Australia publication, 1904, Chapters II and III. Detailed notes and tables related to a number of groups across Australia. Including a list of class names for the Kunandaburi; a list of totems (related to marriage) provided by Mr Hogarth for the Yandairunga; information regarding the Dieri from Mr Gason; and further details relating to the Kunandaburi provided by Mr Hogarth. Also includes definition of the word tribe, and derivation of the names of tribes.
Physical Description Draft notes or article, handwritten in ink, undated. 56 foolscap sheets, 59 pages. Ordered with page numbers top right corner; and, four additional un-numbered pages at the end. One entitled 'Kamilaroi' and one 'Kundandaburi'. Condition: good.
