never existed so far as I can learn
There are only about 50 natives
within a radius of say 100 miles
of this place and they are all employed
on the Stations - the women
living principally with the
Europeans. I do not think
there are more than half a
dozen children under 10 years
of age - I send you a short
vocabulary of the language -
Kangaroos (of which there are
very few) and Turkeys must
have formed their chief [?sources?]
of food and with spinach
the only vegetable diet.

I may inform you that this
place is situated 5 miles from
Sturts Depot Glen and [?Missus or Messers?]
Poole + Mr Burn and is [??]
