Graham Berry

Politician and Premier of the colony of Victoria. Berry received an illuminated address from Kulin Nation Elders, including Barak, in recognition of his receiving representatives from Coranderrk and supporting the residents concerns about the Board of Protection for Aborigines. Berry was also in government when the destructive 1886 Aborigines Protection Act was legislated, an Act that separated families and increased control by the Board over Aboriginal people's lives within the colony of Victoria.
