Draft for A.W. Howitt's 'Native Tribes of South East Australia: Chapter VI Tribal Government' 1904. Howitt lists the names of a number of headmen for the broader Melbourne region: Billibellary, Bebejern (father of Berak), Bungerim, Ningulabul (Captain Turnbull), King Bobby (of Jaja'rung), Malkom, and Benbow. Rupelli is also noted as headmen of the Narrinyeri.
